Hailed from Southgate, California, just outside of Irvine, Mark Gonzales (or affectionally known by peers as The Gonz) formulated a signature move by ollie across a large gap. A move that will be forever known as the Gonz Gap. But The Gonz’s talents were not limited to skateboarding only. He expressed his artistic side by decorating his boards with his sketches, one of the first skaters to do so. For the better part of the last decade, The Gonz has worked closely with athletic gear giant adidas. And in early last year, Gonzales launched his own signature sneaker, based on the classic adidas Originals line. Over the weekend, Sweden’s Caliroots just received the latest entry to Mark Gonzales’s signature Gazelle. The mostly bone colored canvas, highlighted with brown suede.
